The Changing Seasons

Officially Spring is still 3 weeks away and Calgary weather is notoriously unpredictable, but the mornings are perceptibly lighter day by day and I’m now driving to work in the dawn light, the horizon pink with the promise of another sunny day.  Still frosty in the mornings, and the wind has a definite bite to it, but by midday the temperatures are above zero and the snow in our yard is rapidly retreating in the warmth of the sunshine.

I have enjoyed the bleak, white beauty of winter but look forward to another Canadian Spring and am already anticipating the arrival of the swallows and the robins and the first of the Spring bulbs to emerge from their winter sleep.
